Saklıkent is 40 km from Fethiye . It is a beautiful gorge . Nice scenery , nice food , a very fresh day-out .

 The Saklikent Gorge is a nature wonder . A huge valley and 14 km canyon . The water is so fresh , so cold . While your feet touches the cold water , you can taste börek , a traditional Turkish specialty pancake . Thanks to the tourism , this forgotten börek that only village women make , is back again . It is all natural , fresh , organic ! Stuffed with cheese , slices of onions , parsley , or potatoes ...  It is delicious with Turkish tea , but you may try it also with a cool "ayran" , a mixture of yogurt , cold water and salt , and if you like with mint . Ayran is very famous in Turkey , you will see in many cafes . It is very Mediterranean , like all Turkish food .

This is how a village woman cooks börek . She is cooking now some bread . It is so authentic .

On your way back to Fethiye , you will see many small village cafes inviting you to taste börek , ayran , Turkish tea or coffee . Oh , it is beautiful !
